Well-behaved dogs receive a royal welcome at Balvenie Cottage.

Welcome pack

Your dog is part of the family and we want you to enjoy your holiday together.

We provide dog bowls, wash basin, towel and the all-important poo bags. And a welcome biscuit too!

Just bring your dog’s own bed to make sure they feel at home.

Walkies!

You and your four-legged friend can enjoy a wide variety of wonderful walks in and around Braemar.

The fully enclosed garden also provides a good grassy space for playtime.

‘Dug friendly’ village

Pubs: Both the local Moorfield Hotel pub and The Flying Stag (the pub in The Fife Arms) are dog friendly.

Cafés: Most of the cafés in the village have outdoor seating areas where you can dine with your dog. The Bothy café also has a dog-friendly heated indoor space on the terrace overlooking the river.

Shops: Your dog is welcome to accompany you as you browse in many of the village shops. Look out for a ‘Dogs welcome’ sign in the window.

Booking

One well-behaved dog is welcome to join you at Balvenie Cottage for a fee of £20 per week. Please let us know when you book that you are planning to bring your dog with you.
